Aviators: An All American Classic

In our last post, we talked about the resurgence of 60’s and 70’s retro eyewear, but today we’re going to focus on a real American classic: Aviators.

Originally used by pilots (hence the name) and developed way back when (in 1936 no less), Aviators were designed to cover the pilots eye completely, and prevent light from entering, no-matter the angle.

In recent weeks, it would seem everywhere we look, we see someone wearing a pair of Aviator inspired frames, which is why we’ve launched a few new models of our own!!

Freyrs' newest addition to an already stellar lineup of mens sunglasses are the ‘Old School Square Aviators, inspired by the original frames but infused with a square, contemporary feel and… we absolutely love em’!!! ;)

Or... If you're looking for something more closely resembling the original style, let us draw your attention to our 'True Vintage Clear Lens' Aviators.

Let us know what you think guys, and if you pick up a pair, don’t forget to share a photo or two with us!!
